I'm done!

In between everything and being sick for 3 days, I finished the last quilt! It was fun to make and try out new stuff. I would have quilted the interior section more, but I got sick on Monday..and I'm still doing poorly. Stupid stomach bug. Well, here's the pics. It's a snowman Menorah for my cousin who is Jewish. I hope she likes it!

Blogging is over-rated...sort of. I'm lazy when it comes to writing junk down especially when it's only Mandy reading it. hahha..

Thanksgiving was nice. Nich was psycho crazy before dinner. Being 2 I guess. My TMJ (jaw) is hurting like crazy, and the chiropractor hurt me more. It's causing migraines and jaw pain. Think that I'll stay in bed for a year at this rate. Doctor gave me lots of drugs, none of which are helping.

I've been making quilts like crazy! Making the girls some now. My machine broke, mom got me one..it broke. Now, I'm using Mom's. Cross your fingers.

We're Having Fun!

Nicholas loved this past weekend. We went to the Jazz Fest in Fort Worth on Saturday. His favorite thing was probably the cotton candy, but the train was pretty cool too.


Sunday, we headed to the Zoo. We LOVE the ZOO! Nich gets to go to Saturday School in October. He'll be going to the Creepy Crawly class first. I'm not excited to be touching gross stuff, but you'll do anything for your kid, right?? SNAKES>>>>>nobody told me that there would be snakes. FOOOLS.

New Blanket for My Nephew

I'm Just THAT Crzy!

I made Grape cupcakes..... Yes, sounds crazy CRAZY...but I thought it would be an adventure. They aren't THAT bad... kids might like them. I added grape kool aid. Would have been better with just a little, instead of the whole package. hahhah... Pretty strong and sweet. I added Marshmellow frosting to it too with little grape jelly filled marshmellows on top. Well, I was bored. I'll let you know if Nich liked them...tomorrow is the big playdate with OWEN!

Superman

Nicholas likes Superman now...never saw it, but he likes it! I made him a cape. It's not great, but it'll do the job. YEs, I KNOW>..Superman capes are RED. I thought blue would work, so RED next time. Get off my back already! GEESH.

Yes, I made Batman Cupcakes. So silly, but I KNEW Nich would LOVE them. He was talking about them before he fell asleep...and they weren't even finished yet!

Under 24 hours Baby!

I made Nich a small quilt for his crib/toddler bed. Went so fast! Probably cuz I didn't do any fancy designs, just squares and rectangles. I figured that was the best way to show off the BATMAN, Tractors, and CARS! WOohoo! I rule. Well, sometimes. I'm contemplating making something for work tomorrow, but it's 9, and I'm tired. I'll think about it....

Crazy Done

I'm so TIRED! That kid is a morning person, and I'm not. hahah...

Epiphany - We old parents are so tired, cuz we are doing EVERYTHING for the kids! I notice how much planning it takes to do anything. Diaper Bag alone is a big deal. Be sure you have snacks, diapers, wipes, change of clothes, butt paste, and toys. That's just for starters. Then, you either push or carry the kid, usually cuz they get tired. Now, you can begin to understand why most parents are tired, and the kids are running around like crazy!

We are going to get pictures made with Nich's cousins. I have to go iron shirts, and get ready for the big day!

Nich Story- The other day, Nicholas was eating an apple slice. I asked him if the apple was yummy in his belly. He took it and tried to put it into his belly button. SO LITERAL!

Nicholas in his new G Diapers. I like them, but Gary hates them. I say he's lazy. They are about 30 bucks more a year compared to Disposables.

I made my version of Cookie Monster Cupcakes. Oreo in the mouth for good measure. They are Chocolate with Buttercream Frosting! YUMMY.
Here's the finished pic of the small quilt I made for Elyse. I hope she enjoys! First time EVER to make a quilt. Not as easy as you might think...PLUS I go too fast on the sewing machine. Boredom sets in and I'm like.....SPEED IS GOOD.

Wuz Up Green Planet?

I bought GDiapers (http://www.gdiapers.com/) cuz I feel guilty. They are a super cool concept. Cute too. Too bad that Nicholas likes to undo the velcro. hahah. They are encouraging him to use the potty though.
Oh, and Nicholas doesn't DARE get out of his crib unless I say ok. That was fun to train him on that. I said, "As God is my witness, YOU WILL stay in the crib until you turn 3." I just kept laying him back down when he tried to get out. Crazy, but worked.
We went to MY GYM today. Super fun, super expensive. Thank goodness for free class. He loved it, but I can't afford the money. 70 buckeroos a month. SHEESH! That's what I pay for my gym with him on my membership. LIttle blokes are expensive.
Now, if only the kid would take a nap...I'm tired.

Cribs suck

I'm going to get me a young-un. He learned to climb out of his crib today. NOW, an hour later, still awake. I'm so SICK of fighting him to get back and STAY in bed. Curse the fact that there is no lid on a crib.
On a lighter note, I have a WII! The coolest thing in the world, and I hate playing games. We bought Mario Cart. SO MUCH FUN>
Off to hurt the child. Well, maybe just put him back in bed AGAIN>

Gettin' Crafty Over Here

I'm on a roll. I made two diaper cakes, 12 cupcakes, chicken salad, and a duck cake! I've also picked up some sewing projects from over 2 years ago. Go me! Let's see if I can accomplish what I started out doing over 2 years ago. Oh, and I have had a stomach virus. Nich did too. I was thrown up on 3 times in less than 24 hours. I'm so over puke.

Bug Bites on the face are no fun!

Everything changes as you get older. I never knew that life would fly by eventually. When you are young, everything takes forever! I remember long road trips, and how I thought that the ride would NEVER end. Nicholas is already 2. He's talking, and he has opinions. He so much fun to be around now. I never knew that sleep deprivation would turn into bliss. I wish that I could hang out with the little stinker more often.


I'm off to read my mag before bed. I find that magazines offer a little bit of pleasure. I don't want to devote any more time than I have to. Not sure when I'll ever read a real book again. I start, but never finish. HA!

God Save the Queen!

Nich is at it again. Sunday night- up at 4am and NEVER went back to sleep. Monday-less than an hour nap, then up at 1-2 am and up at 5:40am for good.
I AM A CRANKY LADY!
I'm so OVER not sleeping!
On top of all that, we have taken down popcorn ceilings, painted ceilings, and put up crown molding.
I think that I'm going to have a fit if I get woken up one more time.
I'm off to bed.....

I'm thinking short is cute, but the front is a little too short. Nich moved when I was doing that section. NOW...all I need to do is even it up. hahahha

Man, Did I ever SCREW up!

Long time no write....
I totally butchered Nich's hair tonight. I was so tired of it standing up all crazy after a nap. I just thought, let me cut it a little....
THEN, I thought, I wonder how the dog shears would work on his hair. NOT A GOOD IDEA!
It's hella short. I sort of like it, if it were even that is. I guess I'm never going to be a hairdresser.
Oh, yea...and work bites the big one.
